Niche opportunities in industrials, housebuilding, hospitality, real estate, retail, food chain and agriculture. Rannerdale’s founder has experience in these sectors, but – the product of and a believer in a liberal arts education – is open to considering opportunities in other sectors.

Rannerdale is headquartered in New York City and is focused on investment opportunities in the United States.

Size

Rannerdale will pursue equity investments from $3 million up to $20 million. Rannerdale has investor relationships spanning friends and family with “modest” expected investments of circa $500 thousand to $1 million and larger family office and institutional relationships with the ability to commit, quickly and credibly, significantly larger sums. In keeping with the value of transparency, Rannerdale will be explicit with counterparties about probable co-investors in the initial stage of any process.

Transaction Type

Buyout, recapitalization, growth equity. Majority ownership not required depending on security and/or governance rights.

Rannerdale has a flexible time horizon and is free from private equity fund constraints. There is no finite fund life forcing artificially short holds or inopportune exit timing. Rannerdale will consider conventional exits when they make sense but is also free to hold investments indefinitely.
